Oduah Faces Reps Panel Today

The Minister who was expected to appear before the House Committee on Aviation Industry on tuesday failed to show up but sent a letter explaining that she had travelled to Israel to sign the Bilateral Air Service Agreement between Nigeria and Israel.
But the committee warned that it would not hesitate to take necessary action against Oduah if she failed to show up today (Wednesday)

Stella Oduah car controversy

President Jonathan has set up a committee to look into the reason behind the Minister of Aviation's outrageous purchase of two BMW armoured vehicles for two hundred and fity-five million naira and if due process was followed in bringing the cars into the country.
The panel set up to inveestigate the matter will be headed by the former Head of Civil Service Alhaji Isa Bello Sali, the National Security Adviser Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd) and Air Vice Mrshal Dick Iruenebere (rtd).

ASUU and National Assembly

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has urged the NAtional Assembly to go beyond begging the union to call off the srike and block leakages in government expenditure to ensure provision of needed infrastructure
ASUU also fronwed at the statement of the Vice Chairman Senate Committee Sola Adeyeye over his statement on why a professor should dmand payment to supervise a postgraduate students.
In a release signed by ASUU Chairman Professor Olusegun Ajiboye, he said Professor Adeyeye is ignorant of the current situation in the universities.
